Title: Self-ordered Pointing and Visual Conditional Associative Learning Tasks in Drug-free Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorder Patients
نویسنده
چکیده
The aim of this paper was to assess the usefulness of neuropsychological assessment of self-ordered and visual associative learning task in schizophrenia. The authors investigated a large group of drug-free patients with schizophrenia and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. On the basis of obtained data authors suggested a usefulness of this assessment in schizophrenia patients and also for differentiation schizophrenia from healthy controls. The SOPT and VCALT scores were inter-correlated in controls, but not in schizophrenic patients.

Self-ordered pointing and visual conditional associative learning tasks in drug-free schizophrenia spectrum disorder patients
BACKGROUND There is evidence of a link between schizophrenia and a deficit of working memory, but this has been derived from tasks not specifically developed to probe working memory per se. Our aim was to investigate whether working memory deficits may be detected across different paradigms using the self-ordered pointing task (SOPT) and the visual conditional associative learning task (VCALT) ...
متن کاملEffects of contextual processing on visual conditional associative learning in schizophrenia.
BACKGROUND We adapted visual conditional associative learning paradigms to assess the contextual processing deficit model of schizophrenic cognitive impairment proposed by J.D. Cohen and D. Servan-Schreiber in 1992. In this task subjects learn the associations between four sets of stimuli through the use of feedback. We administered two experimental conditional associative learning conditions: ...
